When it’s not too cold outside, my walk to work is one of my favorite parts of the whole day. I’ve always listened to music, but my new iPod has made things even better. It’s been like the start of a new relationship: exciting, unexpected, still finding out the little nuances of how things work. I like the quality time we spend together in the mornings, even though my iPod has a strange preference for Avril when it’s on shuffle. This morning’s playlist, from my door to work’s door:
“Rhyme the Rhyme Well” – The Beastie Boys
“Levon” – Elton John
“Drink to Me, Babe, Then” – A.C. Newman
“Vertigo” – U2
“Straight Street” – Fiery Furnaces
“Sweet Caroline” – Neil Diamond
“All These Things That I’ve Done” – The Killers
“Fall to Pieces” – Avril Lavigne
